About me and the way I work
I work in an integrative way which means I use different therapeutic frameworks and work with you as you need, at your pace.
I like working with people and being able to offer a non-judgmental and supportive ear. Sometimes the worst things you fear or have experienced are more common than you realise and it can be so helpful to have things normalised and understood by someone else.
I have some personal experience of a few of the common items listed, which means I understand and can help, I am not working solely from a theory book. You don't have to deal with it all on your own.
I have a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am also a qualified couples counsellor.
I’ve been working with clients for one-to-one therapy for 6 years. I have practiced from centers that offer long and short-term counselling and a crisis drop-in center.
Prior to this training I worked in media, I understand the pressures of a busy, demanding work environment, the struggle for work/life balance and the stress that working with others can sometimes create.
About sessions
Sessions are 1:1 and are held in therapy rooms within professional practices, both are safe contained environments.
Sessions last for 50 mins and are normally held once a week. Our first session will be a chat about the reasons you have come and how we will work together going forward. In the next session I take some background history.
Sessions are confidential.
